The power cord wire over the screw is to prevent the power cord from coming out and prevent any contact with other electrical wire.

Micro Switch

Hair Dryer Components

Resistances

1. Plug the power cord to the socket.

2. Switch to "on" of the hair dryer, and current flows through the hair dryer.

3. The circuit first supplies power to the heating element.

4. The current then makes the small electric motor spin, which turns the fan.

5. The airflow generated by the fan is directed down to the barrel of the hairdryer, over and through the heating element.

6. As the air flows over and through the heated element, the generated heat warms the air by forced convection.

7. The hot air streams out the end of the barrel.

i

  • Help us to control the shape and dry the hair.

  • The higher the power, the more heat is generated by the heating element.

  • Airflow generated by the fan is forced through the heating element.

  • 2 main parts to generate the blast of hot air:

1. Simple Motor-driven Fan.

2. Heating Element.

Conclusions

  • Hair dryer is usually double insulated.

  • Power cord consists:

1. Live Wire

- It connected to the fuse to the live pin

2. Neutral Wire

- It allow current to return to the main socket

3. Fuse

- A thin piece of wire .

- It will melt if the current is too large to ensure the equipment is not damaged.

Dryer

Power Cord

  • Hair Dryer able to help us:

1. Blow cool or warm air over damp hair.

2. Control the shape and style of the hair.

  • Hair dryer should not be using more than 60 degrees Celsius.
