The Life of Robert Delaney

Childhood

Police Life

After Police Career

In his early years as a police officer Bobby was a regular traffic cop with a brilliant work ethic

Bobby was born in Patterson, New Jersey in 1951 and lived in a Apt. Block for the WW2 veterans

"That among all people, there is a deep underlying bond that we all share, no matter what there skin color or other differances."

Bobby went through Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome often waking up sweating in bed

Soon after being hired for the job, Bobby was thrown deep into the web of lies with Pat Kelly - an FBI informant- only to trust the men around him with his life

"You've been outta line with you're attitude and language, I know it was hard but get over it."

In his teenage years he talked aout, "During summer evenings [him] and [his] friend Jimmy would travel downtown to find pick-up games with the local African-American and Hispanic community who were much more of a challenge."

Then through word of mouth, he was mentioned to the NJPD lieutenant Jack Liddy

"Bobby I'm your wife I want to help your through this"

"That is where I first lived, where I learned my first lesson, one that would remain in my bloodstream all my life."

"Bobby, I'll stop not informing you... but you gotta know, I'm puttin my ass on the line for New Jersy, messin with people who can make me the next Jimmy Hoffa"

Pat soon began to get out of line not keeping Bobby informed, he had to tell Pat before he made a mistake.

Bobby continues to use the relationships he has made to overcome problems with the world around him.

It was there I decided what the theme of his life is...

Bobby made it through his disorder and began to work as a referee in High School basketball.

"I'll give you anything Bobby, I want you out of this mess"

To overcome adversity with the relationships that you build

Jack was currently looking for people who he believed fit the job as the lead man in his plan for undercover cops infiltrating the mob

The refs all got together to provide closure to the families"

Bobby was growing up in the wildly segradated U.S.A. In the Complex he had a Black lady who did his laundry.

Jack took Bobby out for a beer before his interview, in an unknown plan to Bobby, to get him of his A-game to see if how he could react

As 9/11 hit, he gathered the referees of the NBA and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the victims families.

She had many children who whom Bobby was afraid but soon after he got passed this fear and began to play with these people who were no diferant then him.

After a few years Bobby's understanding of basketball and uncompared work-ethic got him a job as a NBA referee

"Oh my god Bobby I knew you weren't like them."

"My parents help me overcome my lack of skill in basketball by installing a hoop in my backyard."

They were about to hire Bobby with only one problem, Robert's father was also a police officer which could cause all kinds of union issues

Just before his completion of High School he choose his career. He wanted to be a New Jersey State Police Officer just like his father

He went on to become a basketball star at his local highschool

It was then he learned:

Two years and thousands of wire audio fragments gathered, the police began the raid, Bobby announced his undercover identity and was givin heat from the people he began to come close to

"I've never asked for anything because my father was in Outfit but I sure don't want to be held back because my father is a trooper. If that's the case, maybe you're telling me i need to find another job"

"How could you do this to me Bobby, we were friends..."

After the raid, Bobby began work with lawyers to think of statements to put the mob under for good.
