Isak Borenstein

Isak Borenstein is in Radom, Poland. He has three sisters and three brothers. He lived in Poland and when Germany invaded Poland he ran to Russia. He then ran, then enlisted in the Russian army. When he fought the germans there was a shooting and only two survived.

At the camp...

He was forced to do labor work, he always got lucky and kept getting out of things like executions. One of the jobs he had to do was to dig out the bombs that America and Britain had put there that haven't exploded.

What he did.

He ran away and changed his name to pollish name rather than a jewish name. He was taken to a prison where he was tortured and beaten.

After the war...

After the army

He decided he had to try to escape.

He now donates to the Jewish Community Center in honor of his parents and his wife's parents. He is current occupation now is a carpenter. He is also married and has one son.

Once he was done serving the Russian army he finally got to go home. He also found out that the Nazi's came looking for him, and when they couldn't find him they found another Borenstein, and killed him. Isak also knew this person they weren't friends but they were acquaintances.

Some nights he had fed himself just water and sugar and lived of off that for 3 whole days!!! Instead of escaping he was forced to go into service for the Russian army for 14 months.
