Without bees, the renewal of woods and forests, as well as world production of fruits and grains would be in risk and the balance of ecosystems and biodiversity would suffer a serious impact, which directly affects humans in different ways.
Bees are known for their pollination capacity, their agility, their ability of flying in zig zag, and for their intelligence, because, after a while with the colony installed in the right place, they know the best time to collect pollen.
What is the importance of bees?
Why are bees disappearing?
Bees are disappearing all over the world because there is a syndrome called the colony collapse disorder. It changes the behavior of bees and causes them to abandon the hive, leaving behind their larvae, never returning.
It is estimated that the bee population has fallen 40% in the US and 50% in Europe over the past 25 years. It is not known for sure the reason for this syndrome, one theory blames it on global warming.
What problems the lack of bees could cause?
How to prevent bee extinction?
The sting of the bee is an extension of its abdomen, which breaks when the bee leaves the victim. This suicide attack happens when she feels threatened or is bothered by strong smells or sound vibrations.
* To produce 500 grams of honey it is necessary thousands bees working all their life.
* A bee has five eyes: three small at the top of the head and two big eyes located at the front.
* The leader is the
queen bee, which lives
up to five years.

Materials:
We used two vases with peppermint.
Experiment:
One of them was left open expose to the nature.
The other was covered by a tulle.
Result:
After a few weeks, we verified some differences: in color, growth and taste.
The peppermint cultivated in the left open vase was more beautiful, green and taller, showing that plants exposed to pollination are healthier.
"If the bees disappear from the earth, mankind will have only four years of existence. Without bees there is no pollination, no reproduction of flora and without flora no animals, no pets, no human race."
Albert Einstein.
