The Italians introduced an organized government and a constitutional monarchy. The Italian people also provided the Ethiopians with new technology such as medical supplies and techniques.

North African countries were mostly attacked by the Italian forces during the 1930's. they invaded these lands for resources such as Cotton, rubber,, and diamonds

On October 1935 Italian forces launched an invasion on Ethiopia, France and the united kingdom only took coercive measures against the European government. By 1936 Italian forces had entered Addis Adaba and emperor Haile had been forced to leave.

Ethiopia was forever changed by Imperialist government and rebellion of the Ethiopians. European countries have left a deep impact in the Ethiopian Culture.

By May 1936, Italian forces had entered Addis Ababa(capital of Ethiopia), and emperor Haile Selassie had been forced to flee.

On May second 1889, menelik II signed a treaty of amity with the italians, giving them control over Eritrea, the red sea coast to the northeast of Ethiopia.

Ethiopia was the only African nation that successfully resisted the Europeans. It had all started with Italy trying to take over Ethiopia during the First Italo-Ethiopian war, Italy sent thousands of troops to Ethiopia. But the emperor of Ethiopia, Menelik II, knew a better strategy. He used guerrilla warfare and slowly drove the Italians out of Ethiopia

Then under Mussolini a modern Italian army was made and conquered Ethiopia. Between the years 1936 and 1941, as part of the Italian East African Empire, Eritrea, along with Italian Somaliland, was ruled together with Ethiopia for the first time
