Women's Rights in India

Stage 2- Defection of the Intellectuals

There weren't exactly leaders emerging but the main people that stood forth the revolution were the public. The public were very alerted with rape cases and cared for the welfare of women in India.

Many public protests took place to gain justice for those who were affected and serious justice sentences to criminals.

Stage 3-Time of Experimentation

Stage 5- New System

Stage 4- Reign of Terror

During this period of time the Indian Government put many laws in place to protect women and their rights. Many criminals who were charged with rape were hanged to death or sentences in jail.

There could be some very effective new systems that could take place, these useful orders could offer justice for those in need.

Even after these rules were put in place, at one point of time India went through a stage in which there were many criminal acts towards Women in India apart from just rape cases. This would include abusing and torturing.

Women's Rights

The Rights of women around the world are becoming highly alarming. The protection of women are decreasing and this issue is becoming highly alerting. It is also very consequential that women get equal rights just as much as men.

Rape Cases in India

The 2012 Delhi gang rape case was the most prominent case which put the whole of Indian in a state of shock involved a rape and murder that occurred on 16 December 2012 in the southern part of New Delhi, when a 23-year-old female physiotherapy intern was beaten and gang raped in a private bus in which she was traveling with a male friend. There were six others in the bus, including the driver, all of whom raped the woman.

The incident generated widespread national and international coverage and was widely condemned, both in India and abroad. Subsequently, public protests against the Government of India and the Government of Delhi for not providing adequate security for women took place in New Delhi, where thousands of protesters clashed with security forces. Similar protests took place in major cities throughout the country to gain justice.

Protection For Women

Women all around the world are unprotected and many are seriously affected from many problems that happen today. Women today are highly affected because of rape. Rape cases around the world are increasing. India is a prominent country known for many of it's rape cases.
