Menes was called,"The Fighter."Then he was referred to as the established.Menes founded the first dynasty.It is noted that he inherited the thrown and the crown of Egypt from the falcon headed god,Horus.Menes built the city of men-nofre, or Memphis.It is suggested that he united the upper and lower Egypt by marrying into the family of a southern royal family.The first pharaoh of ancient Egypt is Menes,but many people consider that Menes and Narmer are the same person.Menes built the temple of Ptah.
