With the RCMP, you have the chance of working anywhere in Canada, excluding Most of Ontario, Quebec, and some major cities. You will work with other RCMP members in a Police Station.
In the study of Forensics, you will be attending crime scenes and reporting your findings. You will be the one who scans for evidence to find out who did the crime. You will do things such as fingerprint scanning and shoe molds.

RCMP
In the Police Dog Service program, you must volunteer and then be selected. You will go through various dog handling courses to prepare yourself for a career in close quarters with a highly trained, purebred German Sheppard. You and your dog will do things such as narcotics searches, locating lost persons, criminal searches, hostage situations and maybe even VIP Protection.
Unfortunately, the recruiting process is conducted in Canada only. If you meet the basic requirements and wish to apply to become a Regular Member of the RCMP, you will have to travel to Canada at your own expense.
The RCMP does not recommend one course of study over another. While one of the basic requirements is a high school diploma or equivalent, we hire applicants from all educational background and areas of study. The RCMP also promotes and encourages continuous learning.
It is a highly competitive process for a predetermined number of positions. The number of applicants selected depends on human resource needs across Canada.
