Cher
Born on 20th May 1946
(making her 65 years old on Friday!)
Cher is a fantastic singer, amongst other things, like an award winning actress, director and charity worker.
Within the last 20 years, Cher has spent
lots of her time working with charities to support children with skull defects and abnormalities.
Cher has helped many, many children live
better lives. Listen to this story...
A 16 year old boy in Alabama, America
suffored from Muscular Dystrophy. He
needed home help, which his mother paid
for.
Then, soon after, his mum of 69 years old
had unexpected brain problems and
became disabled. She could no longer afford the home-help.
Cher heard this tragic story
and she sent money to the boy
so he could keep receiving home
healthcare from the hospital.
Cher didn't help these children as a way of getting more fans, she did this because she was passionate about helping others with the fortunes she had.
Even though it is Cher's birthday
on Friday, she will still be helping
those children in need.
