What is the Royal Proclamation

Royal Proclamation:When the british came in power they needed guidelines. They needed to set rules because at that time they won the seven year war. So the king George 111 made and sign the Proclamation.

Quebec Act: Quebec was true to there identity and they did not want that to change when Britain wanted to colony's them.

The Royal Proclamation is a document that

has rules and laws implanted for european settlement of aboriginal territory in North America. All land is considered aboriginal until ceded treaty.

It is basically when the british wanted to turn Quebec into a british colony but they couldn't because the people of Quebec wanted to stay true to their culture and religion. Britain wanted to turn it into a colony so bad that they were willing to negotiate.
