What happened in the 70s - 80s

Luigi Grollo was born in the north of Italy in 1909. He lived on a farm with his family. The Grollo family were very poor at the time and they had to harvest crops for food and money.

The Grollo family were faced with climatic catastrophes that wiped out everything they had several times, leaving Luigi and his family in famine.

Grocon moved onto concrete construction such as shopping centers, high-rise buildings and their own projects. In this decade, Luigi handed over Grocon to his two sons for further improvement. In 1975, Grocon received a large contract for rebuilding after Cyclone Tracy in Darwin.

In the 1980's many developments were sold by the Grollo family.

At this stage, the Grollo family only had one major development left, the Rialto Towers.
