Tane Mahuta – The god of the plants and animals

Ruaumoko – The god of earthquakes and volcanoes

This is Ruaumoko.

He is Rangi and Papa's youngest son.

He is the god of earthquakes

and volcanoes.

He is shy but very powerful!

This is Tane Mahuta.

The is Rangi and Papa's son.

He is the god of Plants

and animals.

He wanted to push his father into the sky, so his father would not die but they would have light and space to be free.

Tūmatauenga – The god of war and humans.

There are big trees in New Zealand called Tane Mahuta!

Rongomatane – The god of Peace and Farming

and

Haumia Tiketike – God of wild foods

This is Tumatauenga.

He is Rangi and Papa's son.

He is the god of war and humans!

He is a strong warrior and is very

aggressive!

He wanted to kill his father so they could have

light and space and be free.

Ranginui and Papatuanuku were in love!

no space or light between the land and the sky!
