Competencies: strengths and abilities that make a person or thing capable or qualified to perform their job or function.

The ability to GROW and THRIVE, take calculated RISKS and BOUNCE BACK from adversity.

NOT

Here are some TEAMS of people who have exemplified this…

What Resiliency is NOT

Invincible ~ too powerful to be defeated

Invulnerable ~ impossible to harm or damage

None of us are SUPER HUMAN & even SUPER HEROS have their weaknesses.

We ARE ALL capable of what the Resilience Training calls ORDINARY MAGIC. Using ordinary SKILLS to build COMPETENCIES that strengthen our RESILIENCE.

Resiliency Core Competencies

Self-Regulation

SMRT's

101 CAB SMRT's

Our job as SMRT’s is to teach these skills, one tool at a time, to help you build the competencies that will enhance your resilience and help you be confident in how awesome a soldier, spouse, parent, leader, person you ALREADY are! 

The Army was already training MRT's to be able to teach the Resiliency Skills to soldiers and they wanted to make sure the FAMILIES were getting the resiliency training too!

So they brought the Univ of Penn here to Fort Campbell to train 30 of us Army Spouses.

The Goal was for SMRT's (Spouse Master Resiliency Trainers) to take the skills they were taught into their areas of influence: schools, churches, neighborhoods & units.

~Our goal is to teach those specific SKILLS one tool at a time, that will help build the COMPETENCIES that contribute to your resilience!

~It is NOT our job to tell you what to think or how to solve every problem!

~CSF2 BLUF says “enhance resilience”. We’re here to help you see how resilient you already are and give you the tools to help build that resilience!

Hunting the Good Stuff

Thanks so much for your time and attention!

Building the ENGINE of Resilience

OPTIMISM

Have a Very Resilient Week!

The goal of the CSF2 Program is to enhance resilience and effectiveness of soldiers & families by using specific SKILLS that build COMPETENCIES that contribute to RESILIENCE.

Our 101 CAB Team: Michelle Swallows, Robin Graham & Tammy Nolan

~Helps fight the Negativity Bias

~Keeps your mind focused on the Positive

~Helps you identify who your “Pooh’s” are

Write down three good things that happened in your day.

Then write down: why that was a good thing? who else contributed? what can you do to help more of that good stuff to happen?
