Here at BCU we can depose our trash properly to prevent from pollution. In chapter 12 it's an interview of a family and how the cut back on there life style and I think at BCU we can cut back on using electricity, I think we use a lot of power at this school.

The last chapter in the book talks about a family that changed there ways after the bad habitats they got used to. The family moves out of a big house and into a small apartment and most of the furniture went to waste. Now the family backs down on how they spend there money because the wife doesn't work and they came to realization that how they are living is kind of pricey and somethings are not so important too spend too much time and energy on.

Chapter 11 talks about Portland, Oregon is the city in America that consistently rates the highest or near the highest city that is most greenest in America. They have several activities that they do with there trash when there is too much, where they generate electricity from the methane found in the trash. The author spoke on his views about trash crisis and how generating energy from trash will never happen because America finds it to be "unpopular".

The major idea in this chapter is using our garbage in a more useful way like Portland does in there community. They are looking into turning trash into a renewable energy source. Researchers are trying to build trash-burning, power generating plants to help with concerns over pollution and what it impacts in the neighborhood.
