Anglo-saxon Gods

Our days of the week are named after the Anglo-saxon Gods. Moon is Monday, Tiw is Tuesday, Woden is Wednesday, Thor is Thursday, Frigg is Friday and sun is Sunday. Saturday is the only day that is not named after an Anglo-saxon God. It named after a Roman God/ planet Staturn.

Anglo-saxons believed in the Gods preiviosly but then an Italian called Pope Gregory The First came and changed the religion to Christianity and near the the end of the Anglo-saxon period they were all Christians.
