This necklace is an allusion to donar the Germanic Thunder God. The women who still believe in him wear this necklace because they believe if they wear it they are protected by his powers from all evil beings and danger in general.

The norse people are big into farming. Donar was considered a nuisance to the farming communities because of the stones he burried in the earth. In order to till the land they first had to find a dig out all his stones before so they wouldn't break their plows, which happened all the time anyway because of the tiny stones, which were still super powerful.

1. Thor is just a modern version of Donar

2. He is the protector of the Aesir Gods.

3. His symbol is the thunderbolt, but was orgionally formed as a swastica.

4. He is a Norse deity (god)

5. People say he fought with a hammer, but his origonal weapon was stones.

Myth

As Donar was fighting his enemies in the sky protecting the gods, the stones he threw at them came crashing to earth(before he had the hammer). The stones would reflect lightening back into the sky, and that is how thunder storms were created. The rumble is the stone hitting the ground and the lightening is the stone being burried deep in the earth.
