The American Dream
The American Dream to me is anything that brings you happiness and gives you something to live for. I believe that since we aren't guaranteed tomorrow, we should live for the now. We should live for the things that bring a smile to our faces. In my portrait, I show the things that bring happiness to my life. Through all the dark and bad times, my family and friends are still able to bring a smile to my face. The American Dream isn't necessarily searching for freedom, showing patriotism for anything like that. I think it is simply just something that makes your life worth living. Something that gives you hope in times of need.

This quote I think represents the American Dream accurately. It means that we can't just keep focusing on the past, and we must live for the now. The past is nothing but memories but it's now that really matters. If we want to be happy, we must keep going.
If we focus on the positives and find the happiness in things, we'll enjoy life. But if we only look at the negatives it's only gonna bring us down. Life's a lot better when you're laughing/smiling.
