Kepler's Universe

The Father, was represented by the sun, because without it the world wouldn't exist.

The Sun, was represented by the stars because they brought a small amount of light to the world.

The Holy Spirit, was represented by the entirely by space with its endlessness.

Religious life

Kepler Firsts

Johann Kepler was a devoted Christian his entire life. He struggled with persecution his entire life, he was persecuted by his own Lutherans and Christian for not conforming to what people say he should.

First to correctly explain planetary motion, thereby, becoming founder of celestial mechanics and the first "natural laws" in the modern sense; being universal, verifiable, precise.

First to investigate the formation of pictures with a pin hole camera;

First to explain the process of vision by refraction within the eye;

First to formulate eyeglass designing for nearsightedness and farsightedness;

First to explain the use of both eyes for depth perception.

Heliocentric Theory

First to describe: real, virtual, upright and inverted images and magnification;

First to explain the principles of how a telescope works;

First to discover and describe the properties of total internal reflection.

Early Life

Kepler was studying under Tycho Brahe and when Tycho died,Kepler inherits all of Tycho's astronomical data leading to Kepler's 3 Laws

3 Laws

1)The Planets move in orbits about the Sun that are ellipses

2)The planets move such that the line between the Sun and the Planet sweeps out the same area in the same area in the same time no matter where in the orbit.

3)The square of the period of the orbit of a planet is proportional to the mean distance from the Sun cubed.

Johann was born in Weil, Swabia, a wine region in southwest Germany not far from France.He was born a pre-mature child and has a hard life. His Aunt was burned at the stake for being a witch and his mother was accused multiple times.He was also almost blind due to small pocks at a young age
