Automated Railway Crossing System using RFID
Steps
1. Identify card by the reader
2.Hardware implmentation to produce output on a screen when a card is identified
3.Adding the second reader
4. Software implementation to calculate velocity
5.Replacing the leds by an LCD screen to show a countdown
6. Implementing a software to control the motor at the crossing
Aims & Objectives
Objectives
- To define the cause of the main problems of the railway accidents
- To find the appropriate way of solving this problem using an automated system rather than man power
- To create and build this system using motors , sensors and LCD screens and any other digital, mechanical tools
- To test this system and determine its level of reliability .
Aim:
To build an automated reliable system that closes the bar of the railway crossings upon the approach of a train. Hence, reduce the number of accidents caused by human faults .
