Donovan figures out that the gifted kids are going to summer school because of not being taught Human Growth and Development. There is no teacher at ASD certified to teach this. Donovan finds a solution to this problem. He brings his pregnant sister (Katie Patterson) to school. The class takes field trips to go watch the sonograms. This is credited as a Human Growth and Development class. After the class ends Dr Schultz finds Donovan. Schultz makes him polish and clean the globe that he knocked off Atlas' shoulders. He also makes him do 16 hours of community service. Donovan also has been transferred back to Hardcastle Middle.

ASD now goes to the annual robotics meet with Tinman. Katie, the two Daniels, and Donovan go to the robotics meet to watch. It finally gets to the final round, it is Cold Spring Harbor (the team who has beaten ASD 3 years in a row), and ASD. The robots must put rubber rings on elevated sticks. Cold Spring Harbor's robot bumps Tinman, the team freaks out. They start a fight between robots. Tinman throws Cold Springs robot into the judges table, then Noah gets out of the pit and goes WWE style on Cold Springs robot. Once this is over Katie says to Donovan "It is time." That means Katie was going into labor. They leave immediately and go to the hospital. Both Cold Spring and ASD got disqualified from the competition. The robotics team gets everything together and leaves too. They are also going to the hospital. Katie has a girl. This also meant that the gifted kids don't need summer school. Noah confesses to ASD that he hacked into the computer and did the test for Donovan. He is transferred to Hardcastle with Donovan. When Donovan asks Noah did he really hack into the computer Noah said no he didn't do it, it was Abigal. Noah just wanted to be normal.

Donovan ruins Hardcastle basketball game by hitting the Atlas statue with a stick, the globe on top of atlas snaps off and goes rolling through Hardcastle gym. Dr. Schultz brings Donovan to his office and gets his name to think of a consequence. Schultz's employee takes Donovan's name instead of the names on the list to go to Academy of Scholastic Distinction (ASD). Now Donovan gets transferred to ASD. he is now "hiding out" at ASD. Soon enough Mr. Osborne figures out that Donovan is not gifted. Donovan joins the robotics team for ASD. They are working on a robot thst is not named, Donovan fixes that. He asks for a name for the robot. Donovan gets three answers Tinman, Metallica, and Squarepants. The robot is now named Tinman Metallica Squarepants. Meanwhile Katie is living with Donovan and his family because her husband is stationed in Afghanistan for the army. Katie's husband's dog (Beatrice) also moves in. Beatrice is acting sick and won't go near anyone except for Donovan.

Donovan is now being retested for gifted. When he goes to take the test his curser starts moving, someone had hacked into the test and did the test for Donovan.
