E-residency
On 1 December 2014 our president gave the first Estonian e-residency to the editor of The Economy Edward Lucas. E-residency is a digital identity card, which gives foreign people all over the world a right to sign documents digitally and the access to e-services.

The idea of tie-apron was created by Andres Labi in 2013. It became popular fast and in some restaurants waiters/waitresses wear them as a form.
Shaka Weather Station app is meant for surfers, sailors and climbers to see what the weather is.

Taxify is one of the most well-known mobile apps in Estonia invented by young Markus Villig in 2013 who was form 12 student. Taxify helps you to find taxis in the city in a very simple way. It shows how far the taxis are and also their price. It is used in Estonia and Finland.

TransferWise
Portable chess board
In 2013 Nick Rawcliffe and Stella Soomlais designed a portable chess board,which won a prize for the best author's design. The board is made of leather and the chess pieces are made of stainless steel.
GrabCad
TransferWise is the clever new and cheap way to send money abroad. TransferWise is a peer-to-peer money transfer service launched in January 2011 by Kristo Käärmann and Taavet Hinrikus based in London. The commission charged is usually only 0.5% and money is converted at the interbank rate, in contrast to the bank setting a premium rate.

The project was financed by The European Regional Development Fund. The company has plans to get to the market in United Arab Emirates, India and the USA.

Myoton is a medical device which helps to measure the tone, elasticity and rigidity of muscles. It was founded by Arved Vain, a doctor of biology, in 1999. Myoton has patents in the USA, EU and Japan.
Science centre AHHAA in Tartu is one of the biggest science centres in the Baltic States.
The aim of the Science Centre AHHAA is to introduce science to everyone and encourage studying through the joy of discovery.
