The Yaqui catfish in about 50 cm long and also about 2.2 pounds. It is about a medium size fish and it is similar to the channel catfish. The catfish is rounded with 23 to 25 soft rays. Its body is usually profused speckled. You rarely ever see a huge catfish of this species. These fish are usually found in large streams because that's where most of their found they eat is at. The Yaqui Catfish eats aquatic invertebrates and also other small fishes.
The Yaqui Catfish is dark color and could be gray but is mostly black. When the catfish swims it looks like a channel ctafish and most people think that it is but it isn't. The way to stop killing the catfish is too stop dumping oil and other things out because if you dump the chemicals out beside your house they could drain or flow to a river and thats what cause the loss of animals. Another way for us to stop endangering this animals is to stop fishing for them and not tak them out or kill them.
The Yaqui catfish is actually a big help to our ponds and rivers. When the rivers or ponds get dirty or not clean the catfish keep the water clean they help clean all around them. f we keep killing them then the water would start getting real nasty and we wouldn't be able to do the thing that we do in these water ways today. When we float down the rivers and other things there would be all kinds of nasty algae and other dirty things in your cloths and you could get sick from drinking the water .
The primary source of these animals being endangered is the waste water that company's could be causing by dumping a chemical out. The secondary source is humans they could pu polution out in the water and they also so fish for them and kill them and not put them back. This is really bad for them because they almost have no chance for any of them live because if they don't die from being caught by humans or even be eaten by their predators they will most likely killed by the chemicals in the water.
