First Continental

Congress

Samuel Adams, George Washington, Peyton Randolph, Patrick Henry, Richard Henry Lee, John Adams, John Jay, Joseph Galloway, and John Dickinson.

All delegats wanted colonial rights so they agreed that they should have a law about that. The delegates areed to meet in 7 months but when the 7 months passes, Britain was fighting.

The meeting was determined to uphold colonial rights and planted the seeds of a future independent gov.

They voted to ban trade with Britain until the Intolerable Acts were repealed. They also called on each colony to begin training troops.
