A cartoonist is responsible for making 2D art forms for political, social, advertising, sports, and industry.

  • You have to have interest in learning new things: either art or computer digitizing, you still have to learn.
  • You have to have a huge imagination or a sense of humor for either cartoons or commercial.
  • You have to have dedication to doing the cartoons, alone or in a group.
  • You need to have persuasion for humor in entertaining or stating an idea.

It depends mostly on the company you work for. Though most companies will except people with a bachelors degree in fine arts and most cartoonist digitize their work, so you may need computer or technology courses in college.
