I think that Sir Walter Raleigh would make a good dinner guest because he not only was a writer, soldier and adventurer, but he also served in Queen Elizabeth's army in Ireland. He also studied at Oxford and served in the Huguenot army in France. Along with that, Sir Walter Raleigh explored from North Carolina all the way to Florida. He then named the region Virginia in honor of Elizabeth, the "Virgin Queen".

I chose Michelangelo because he's a painter, sculptor, architect and poet. He was also one of the most famous artists of the Italian Renaissance. After being introduced to artist Domenico Ghirlandaio, Michelangelo's father realized he had no interest in fulfilling the family business and so he followed his own path.

I invited Martin Luther as a religious figure because he was a Christian theologian and Augustinian monk who inspired the Protestant Reformation and largely influenced many Christian traditions. Plus in 1517 Luther wrote a document attacking the Catholic Church’s practice of selling “indulgences” to absolve sin. He stood up for what he believed in and became one of Western history’s most significant figures.

Galileo Galilei played a major role in the scientific revolution. He first would find small occupations as a mathematics teacher and soon began a long study on objects in motion. After getting a job at University of Pisa, he produced a manuscript and later started questioning the peoples' knowledge of the solar system and proved everyone wrong.
Elizabeth I ruled England for about 44 years. After her sister died, she inherited all kinds of problems relating to war. At the time they were battling France which caused many strains and a lot of tension within her people. Because of this she decided to marry her kingdom and people instead of Phillip II of Spain. I also chose her due to her love of music and art.

I chose William Shakespeare as my first wild card for numerous reasons. Not only was he one of the best play writers of his time, but he was skilled in other areas as well. He wrote many different types of plays and preformed many too. Along with that, he suffered a lot of family problems and was still very dedicated to his work.
