In Shakespears, King Lear, there's a conflict within King Lear's family; two older selfish daughters and one innocent young one fighting for their fathers power. The daughters strive at their fullest creating nonsense and unneeded chaos.
Chaos and order bounce off each other as you can see in William Shakespears, King Lear. Chaos can be a naturally occurring thing that we have no control of but it is order that we keep in mind and have to control.
King Lear revolves around order and chaos. Chaos shows up when the huge storm hits as King Lear isn't welcome at his eldest daughters homes. King Lear has social order over his daughters when it comes down to who he's handing down the power to. Towards the end of the play, King Lear is able to analyze his priorities. He came to realization that the chaos of nature is more important than his loss of political control, making Lear become humble and caring.
Goneril & Reagan, the two older daughters, represent betrayal as they are selfish and try to lure their father into giving up his power to them.
"....when she marries, Lear will have to do with only half her affection."
Reagan gives Lear an unwelcome stay when he refuses to have no more than 25 of knights staying at her house. Once this happens, Lear finds that Goneril won't except back at her house as well..
With Lear hearing this he gets outraged & cuts Cordelia out of the whole settlement. Little does he know, Cordelia truly loves her father and is the only one there for him in the end. Cordelia's loyalty eventually brings her and her fathers relationship back together!
Cordelia, Lears youngest daughter, represents loyalty. She's the youngest out of his three daughters but is most loyal as she is truthful to him, innocent, worthy,and loving and caring.
