"Come, you spirits that tend to mortal thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me, from the crown to the toe, top-full of direst cruelty!" (I.V.43-46)

Femininity is showed in this quote because Lady Macbeth wanted to have the power to do evil and she thought that having masculine traits would help do the crime more easier as men are seen as evil and cruel. Here we see that our traditional way of seeing femininity is differently portrayed.

"You should be women, and yet your beards forbid me to interpret that you are so" I.iii.46-48

"Who can be wise, amazed, temperate, and furious, loyal, and neutral, in a moment? No man" II.iii.124-125

This quote shows femininity/masculinity because beards are manly traits and being on a woman makes someone question their sexuality. So this is used as a way to explain the physical appearance of certain characters in the play which makes us question their gender as the play goes.

This quote states that men cannot be wise, amazed etc.. one can interpret this to mean that if you are a man and have these characteristics, you are not really a man. This portrays femininity and masculinity in a way that disrupts our traditional Point of view regarding this two genders.

"When you durst do it, then you were a man; And, to be more than what you were, you would be so much more the man." I.vii.54-56

"What, will these hands ne'er clean? No more o'that, my lord, no more o'that" V.i.40-41

"Bring forth men-children only, for thy undaunted mettle should compose nothing but males" (I.vii.80-82)

This quote takes place when we see lady Macbeth character change from fierce to a vulnerable person as she succumbs guilt. This portray Masculinity and Femininity because here we see an insight of Lady Macbeth emotional state.

Lady Macbeth is telling Macbeth that the only way for him to be manly is if he commits the evil act of murdering Duncan. This quote represents Masculinity and Femininity because this is used to encourage violence by questioning the gender of one the characters.

This quote took place when Macbeth saw the real character of his wife and said that men-children are the only people that would be able to get along with her due to her masculine nature. This shows masculinity and femininity because this is used as a way to explain the characters emotionally.
