since we didn't have dialogue this allowed us to explore the use of sounds to intensify the sensation of fear a in our opening scene
this was much like a shot we took from our preliminary because of the fact that we planned on showing a shot of my hand taking the "food" from the bag.
there were also shots of which we found very effective but due to the fact that it made the narrative less continuous, we couldn't put it into the final product
because we didn't need to have a continuous flow like before, we were able to experiment with different shots, shots we used from our preliminary.
Overall i felt as if the lack of a good story line was what held us back. ( poor planning compared to our preliminary task )
I felt as if the story itself is very weak because of the fact that being a fan of the thriller genre i personally wouldn't go see that movie due to the poor story.
This meant that we wasted time creating new story boards etc, a lot of time we didn't have.
I also felt as if we took the project too lightly at first and never felt the pressure until it was almost too late.
even though we felt as if dialogue could allow the audience to know more about the narrative we felt as that in our coursework we kept to just diegetic sounds allowing the audience to have their own interpretation of things, just like in our preliminary
i also felt as if we didn't have enough shots we filmed ourselves therefore to make up for the loss time, we had to create shots which were black which had no other function but to kill time
personally i feel as if we did the best we could for our final project
if we were given the chance to do it again the things i would change would be the storyline and change it to teen drama
this is because it would make the story more relate-able as having actors like Sam clearly shows he is not the age of the character he is portraying
One thing that we were meant to do was keep my identity secret in the preliminary work but due to the lack of shots, we needed to fill in blanks with close-ups we took earlier
One thing we particularly liked about our opening piece was the connotations that people can get from our dialogue
therefore we decided to take more shots this time, from the same angle, allowing us to minimize our mistakes and also allows us not to resort to having filler shots
therefore we decided to make it so that the story-line in our opening sequence also had connotations that were very diverse.
through the smart use of shots we were able to keep the character of Jack's identity hidden

the main focus of this task was to create a sense of continuity yet still use a variety of shots to do so
as a group we felt our preliminary piece was very strong therefore we went back onto it to gather ideas to reinforce our weak work
this was made clear when we weren't happy with our first outcome after our first video- shoot, we lacked a good story and our use of minimal shots made our work look very weak
this was because of the variety of shots we were able to use. Even though in our piece we decided to use jump-cuts ( instead of a continuous). We still felt as if we needed to incorporate a diversity of shots
even though the aim of our task then was to create a sense of humour through the dialogue and then a climax to reveal the plot, we felt as if this task helped us to create the final product we have made.

we took inspiration from our preliminary work by using a pannning shot.
i learnt from our preliminary work that there is no need for the use of an exterior shot to show the location, instead we chose to start the shot from the top of the room as we felt the location in itself isn't very important in the narrative.
