Humber college recruitment plan to increase applicant numbers for the public relations three year advanced diploma program.

This plan takes course over 36 weeks from September to April

Our audiences include:

- high school students grade 11 and up

- Guidance councilors and high school English Teachers

- Transfer/graduated students from other colleges and universities.

Provide more information online, helping students who live outside the GTA to get more information about the program. This is also effective for other students looking to transfer or further their education from other colleges and universities.

Enhance the open house to highlight the appeal of the public relations program. Showing students what type of work us students partake in and how involved we are with Humber.

Give a recognizable, face to the public relations program.

Bring public relations students on trips to certain highschools with strong creative writing programs or a high volume of applicants.

Time to meet a group of core teachers from the program for Q&A both in a group and one on one setting

Course descriptions on the Humber website.

Increase our online presence through Twitter and Facebook.

Give out invitations to guidance councilors and English teachers to hand out to students who they believe would be well suited to the program.

send two - three students to local highschools with the necessary requirements to speak in the creative writing class.
