DEPSA ECE Orientation

Mr. Bratbo and Ms. Logan

Sibling Pick-Up

“Older siblings may pick up Kindergarten students upon completing a sibling pick up form and submitting it to the Primary Academy Office. Students must enter and exit at their designated doors unless special arrangements have been approved.”

Lockers

Bottom Line: you are allowed to pick up your siblings in kindergarten, but you have to fill out the correct form, and follow the rules of the kindergarten staff.

“All students will receive lockers. To avoid property damage and item theft, students should not switch locker partners without their instructor’s knowledge or share their lock combination with other students."

Leaving School Grounds

Bottom line: You need a lock for your locker. Do not share your combination or key with anyone. This will avoid property damage and theft

“During regular school hours, as well as during after school activities and late pick up, students are not allowed to leave the school grounds for any reason without a liability release form being submitted to the proper Academic Office. i.e.: walking to the local party stores, fast food restaurants, outside the gated campus, etc. Failure to comply may result in expulsion, or referral to law enforcement.”

NOTE: lockers are the property of the school, and as such the school has the right to search your lockers at any time. If you don’t want it searched, don’t bring it to school.

Lockers and Locker Rooms

Bottom line: You need 2 locks: one for your regular locker and one for your gym locker. You will share your regular locker with a partner, and it is your responsibility to keep your combination safe. You only get to use your gym locker for the hour you have gym, so when gym is done you need to take your stuff and your lock.

Bottom Line: you cannot leave school grounds by yourself at any time. That means no Burger King.

NOTE: lockers are the property of the school, and as such the school has the right to search your lockers at any time. If you don’t want it searched, don’t bring it to school.

Repercussion: Possible Expulsion

Truancy: Being Absent without Permission

“Unexcused absences from classes, lunchroom, study hall and homeroom or students leaving the school building without permission, including after-school activities.”

Bottom line: you need to go where you need to be.

Repercussion: you could be suspended for up to 10 days.
