Essential Question: How do keyboard shortcuts affect your effectiveness as a designer?

Do Now: We can and will get faster at manipulating objects in Tinkercad! Think about yesterday's design. In your notes, list all the things that were challenging about completing it.

  • Part 1: Project Ignite “Lesson 5: Building a spork for outer space”. Complete half of tutorial today. Stop time: 9:35am.
  • Part 2: Tinkercad Tool Poster research Start time: 9:35am

To start today's assignment:

1. Go to your Tech & Design folder.

2. Open 03.16_Project Ignite Spork

3. 9:30am Switch to 03.14 for Tinkercad Tool Poster research.

Do Now: Take a look at the poster below.

1. Write down one thing that is good about it.

2. Identify one way that could be improved.

Determine which Boolean operation is shown within each shaded Venn Diagram . Then write the mathematical statement that describes it.

Basic Laptop Rules:

1. No music. No headphones - except when watching assigned videos.

2. Only use the laptop assigned to you.

3. Carry the laptop by the base (not the screen).

4. On task - doing so is worth 10% of your overall grade on the assignment.

  • This assignment is a summative grade that consists of three parts.
  • Due today: research sheet, first draft. Good research will create a solid foundation for your poster.
