This incident took place on March 3, 1991 when Rodney came across a traffic light that should’ve been a routinely stop for anyone on San Fernando Valley freeway, turned into a freeway chase in which changed policing and race relations in Los Angeles. After being caught, four white LAPD officers beat Rodney an African American. This was recorded and put up on a local TV station which stuck a riot in shocking behaviours from those who want to protect and serve. the riot caused $1 billion dollars in property damage, 55 people being killed and left 2000 people injured
