Lightening Rod

In 1750, he invented the lightening rod it helps protect buildings and ships from lightening damage. The tall rod is attached to the outside wall of the house. The rod attracts the lightening and sends it to the ground.

Franklin's Stove

In 1775, Benjamin Franklin used the odometer to help him measure his postal routes. He wanted to find the best ways to deliver mail. He attached the odometer to his carriage.

In 1742, Benjamin Franklin figured out a better way to warm houses instead of building fires and it was safer to use. The stove had a hoodlike enclosure in the front and the airbox in the rear. It generated twice as much heat.
