By: Mikaela Heid, Emma Capes, and Noah Young

What Does Your System Do

It is located in threw out the whole body. The heart is in the middle of the chest, the spleen is located in the left hip, your tonsils are in the beginning of the throat and the nodes go through your whole body.

The lymphatic system has many jobs to do. This system removes interstitial fluid and extracellular fluid, also it transfers white blood cells to and from lymph nodes into the bones.

How Many Parts Does Your System Have and What Does Each Part do?

New Vocab & Definitions

Introduction

What Happens If Your System Fails

What To Do To Keep Your System Healthy

Bacteria and infections can get into the cells and the blood. You can get really sick because the fluid outside of the cells protecting them could stop flowing.

Diseases

  • Lymphedema
  • Hodgkins Lymphoma
  • Castleman Disease

The lymphatic system has 3 primary functions. 1. It returns excess interstitial fluid to the blood. 2. It is the movement of fats and vitamins from the digestive system to the venous circulation. 3. Defense against against invading microorganisms and diseases.
