Still Don't Believe Me?

First of all every study that has been done that "proves" that learning styles do exist doesn't complete the criteria for scientific validity. We'll this doesn't disprove their existence you may think, but you'd be wrong again for every one of the fake studies that prove it's existence there are dozens of scientifically valid studies done that disprove the existence of learning styles.

Some Explanation

I am nearly certain that everyone here at one point has had a teacher explain math or some other thing with pictures and for me at least that just confused me more about the subject and to justify it they would always say that it helps a lot of people learn better

Is it really a myth?

Why Is This Myth So Widely Believed?

How could this be a myth, our parents and our teachers have always told us that we learn differently? Well I'm sorry to say but everyone takes in information in the same way, there is no magic to learning something. While people may have their preferences in how they get taught or how they learn you still absorb the information the same way.

What Have I Learned?

If there are so many studies done that disprove this why do we get told this all the time, by our parents, our teachers everyone but why?

Through researching I have discovered that learning styles or the idea that people actually receive information better in different forms is a myth

Other

Reasons

Another reason that the learning styles myth exists is because parents want to believe that they are getting an education that is catered directly to their children

Why We Believe It

Most of have probably done poorly in one class or another and for us learning styles can just be an excuse for why we got that bad grade whereas in reality you and I probably got that grade because we weren't trying hard enough or couldn't focus and there's the equally likely possibility that you just aren't intelligent enough to do any better and that grade could just be the best you could do

Conclusion

On the bright side you do have a preference on how you learn that's just how we are, it won't make you receive information any better. Thanks for listening.
