Vladis Grutas

Who Was He...?

So what did they do, you ask?

They did what anyone who feels they got cheated by their employer or company would do....

But, unfortunately for them...

Winter was drawing near...

And so were the Soviets

So, in an effort to stay warm, and fed. They retreated into the Lithuanian woods around Lecter Castle, which they had already looted several times, and searched for the old Lecter Family Hunting Lodge.

By the end of that winter in the lodge, two things happened; a story ended... and a new one had just begun.

Grutas and his men left and headed west to avoid the Soviets at the end of the war. Where they ended up in the world is unknown to the most of us, but they probably ended up trying to make whatever money they could from post-war weaponry, and from the items they looted. Such as the priceless art they "found" in Lecter Castle.

The other thing that happened in the lodge, the story that had begun; was not about Grutas or his gang. This new chapter was about the young Lecter boy. The one who retreated to the lodge with his family when the Nazis got close. The only people who know what happened in that lodge, that started this new chapter are Grutas' gang, and the young Lecter boy... The only surviving Lecter to this date...

Grutas:

During the Nazi invasion of Lithuania, local militiamen betrayed their friends and families

They looted and destroyed the towns they grew up in, killing anyone who dare get in their way... They were henchmen...

They committed more war crimes, and atrocities than ranking Nazis did, all in an attempt to

join the ranks of the most prestigious and fearsome group in the Nazi's Military:

The WAFFEN S.S.

in an attempt to join the Nazi Ranks...

Its simple...

Like many of these "henchmen", Vladis soon found out that him and his group would never be enlisted into the S.S. due to their "Tainted Lithuanian Blood" ... They realized that the Nazis had just used them... they wanted revenge.

They went into business independently

Only difference now was: they did not take orders from anyone... Except Grutas.

Under his command, the group was more vicious than before. They killed more, including Nazis, they looted more, and they kept all that they "found" for themselves...

They enjoyed what they did, they began wearing Red-Cross arm bands so that they would not be questioned as to "why they are checking bodies", and "why were they looking in houses"

Unfortunately for the survivors already in the lodge, Grutas found it...

...and it belonged to him now.

Hannibal.

The End...

...For Now.
