Who are we?

Hi everyone, we are a band group and we will share with you our amazing plan for a gap year that will happen next year. We pretend to do this trip to enrich ourselves and CV by getting in contact with different cultures and experiences.

How are we going?

We would go on a Van, and to across all over the ocean we will use a ferryboat.

England

Halloween celebrations in the United Kingdom includes parties where guests are often expected to arrive in a costume to reflect the day's theme. Many Englishes still believe that, at this time of year, the spirits of dead people could come 'alive' and walk amount the living, so they thought that it was important to dress up in customes to avoid being harmed by the spirts. It will certainly be very interesting and fun to be part of this day. Obviously we are not going to England just because of that. Besides this outstanding cultural English event which has been adopted all over the world, this is the best place to improve and develop our language English skills, that has a huge importance to companies and today's employers. Of course we couldn't pass UK without spending some days visiting and exploring the infinity of beautiful and remarkable monuments such as Big Ben, London Eye and the Tower Bridge in London

To end up our amazing trip across the world we have choose Moscow as the last destination. Since we are in December when is according with our weather a typical winter and cold time, any place wouldn't be more beautiful than this Russian City Covered by snow. We plan to dedicate this last month only to enrich ourselves by getting in contact with the variety and rich Russian culture, but specially to strengthen bonds of friendship and enjoy this last moment before embracing the reality of looking for jobs or ending up university courses. Many reasons make Moscow a unique place, such it's wonderful and characteristical architecture, art expositions, eminent theatrical traditions, natural city parks, taste impressions and spectacular views

Germany

Oktorberfest is the world's largest beer festival and travelling funfair event of the world which occurs in Munich, Germany. More than 6 million people from around the word attend this event every year, that is locally simply called the Wiesn, which has usually the duration of 16 days including the first Sunday of October. In average 7.7 millions of litres of beer are served during the festival, in which visitors may also enjoy a variety of traditional food as roast chicken, sausages pretzels and grilled ham hock.

In the rest of the month we would spend most of the time visiting it and incorporating several part time jobs.

Spain

As you may all know Tomatina is one of the most attractive events that occurs in Spain, wich every year involves hundreds of participants in this tomato fight purely for entertainment. This usually happens on the last Wednesday of August, during the week of festivities of Buñol in Valência. An other characteristic of Spanish culture is, without any doubt, the music, currently associated with traditional styles such as flamenco and classic guitar, in which we pretend to get in contact and learn more about its technics in order to open our horizons and improve our music skills. Never forgetting our origins, we plan to integrate in many musical events and share the beautiful Portuguese music culture all over the country and teach the younger musicians

We expect to make this trip not only one remarkable memory that will contribute to build up out personality with knowledge and new experiences of life, but to give us a more positive and open minded perspective of the way we live and see the world, teaching us the true values of what really matters in this amazing beautiful time of existence. Because we travel not to escape life but for life not to escape us.

Italy

As it is known, our religion is cristian and our costumes are based in our religion. To honor our ancestors habits, we shall go to the Vatican, where the holy father is currently living. In this time of year, the Easter arrives and is there any other place better to celebrate it? It must be a honor for us to be capable to live this moment in this amazing place. Furthermore, Italy is the center of the art and it's where the greatest artists of all time, like Michel Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Verrocchio and Rafael, evolved and worked. Specially in Vatican we can testimony beautiful oil paintings and sculptures with hundred of years but with such perfection that make us wander if it is even possible humans do such things.

This stop has as main goal, enrich our culture and dedicate some of our time to prayers, desiring a better world for our children, our future.

Hawaii

July

One of various reasons that led us to choose Hawaii as one of our destinies, besides the girls with unnatural beauty and the paradisiacal beaches, was the quiet of the place. Almost without human hand in it, Hawaii is one of the most virgin places that there is in the world. In a matter of fact, Hawaii is composed by several vulcanic islands which can provide us gobs of information for academical purposes.. What make this islands so unics is the array of endemic fauna and flora. But it faces a huge problem too. Several animal species are in danger of extinction and we are determined to face this problem and do everything in our possession to make things better.

Mexico

Cinco de Mayo, Spanish for "may 5th" is a living celebration of the Mexican army's victory over french forces at the Battle of Puebla, wich is lived all over the world by the spread Mexican communities. Of course, if we want to feel the real spirit of this commemoration we must go to Mexico where good spicy Mexican food and guitar acoustic beautiful music shall not miss. Beyond the most exciting personal reason that has moved us to embrace this wonderful adventure which was to improve our musical skills, and mexican musical culture is one of the richest, we are also looking for to fix some of the mistakes that our specie has made in the past, like saving endangered species as Guacamayo verde.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holi is a Hindu spring festival that happens in India, also know as the festival of colours or festival of sharing love. In this huge manifestation of union and fraternity where people gather, do religious rituals and pray that their internal evil should be destroyed as the bonfire starts. And after that, our specially and favorite part, participants of this events play, chase and color each other with dry powder and coloured water. Anyone and everyone is fair game, friend or stranger, rich or poor, children and elders, men or women.

Of course we have as the major purpose of this trip making the world in a better place , so we plan to help building new homes for many who are homeless and teach English to the children.

Our awesome gap year will start in the wealthy Dubai.

Here we will explore the country and meet with rich people and understand how they live. We also will perform in some bars and other places to get money and entertain people.

Rio de Janeiro

Madagascar

February is particularly known for the great event that occurs all over the world, but specially in Rio De Janeiro in Brazil wich runs the largest Carnival for all, with two million people per day in the streets.

However Brazil is also known by the social and economic differences that persist in their society. To improve and make Brasilian's lives a bit better we plan to participate in many volunteering initiatives and teach music to the kids who can not afford to learn this beautiful art that make the world in such a wonderful place.

What made us choose Madagascar as one of our destination, was the movie. As underrated fans of the fantasy movies we would love to know the place that inspired it. Forsooth we will enjoy the contact with the wild life, exotic places, and tropical wheatears. This island has a huge history, and we are intrigued to know it and meet the people that live there for hundreds of years, and learn how they live and survive.

It will sure be a once life experience.

Sidney

Sidney's combination of surf beaches, a sparkling natural harbour and the Sidney Opera House is irresistible. However the main purpose of travelling to Australia was to get in contact with the varied amount of exotic and native species that inhabit there, including gorillas, tigers, chimpanzees, giraffes, kangaroos and koalas in order to create new connections with the animal world and start paying more attention to the other species that live in this planet as well and have been affected by our polluting conduction.

How will we save money ?

By performing in streets, cafes, restaurants, festivals... and working part time jobs in different areas, like work in stores or restaurants or in a supermarket, among others.
