BCA System Analysis

Analysis Stage (continued)
Submitted to: Mr. Doane
- The system records the files and transactions, including the amount of customers served per day
- Special offers and promotions come from the main office but it is retrieved online.
- Credit card promotions are automatically installed onto the computers the moment it could be applied.
- The amount of customers per day ranges from 50-100 people
- A customer needs to be at least 21 to purchase a bank account
- Part-time workers are not accepted as they need to work for a minimal of 1-3 years.
- To make a new bank account a minimal of 8 million rupiah needs to be deposited.
- The maximum amount of money you can withdraw from the bank would be 100 million rupiah (confirmation is needed).
Development
Evaluation
- We cannot conduct testing of our new system due to the fact that bank records should be kept private and we are not illegible to perform such a test.
- We also cannot evaluate user responses of our new system because there is no participants who are willing to take part in these tests since it is not in our authority to operate the system in any way.
- The limitations in the new computer system that we suggested would be:
- If one or more of the tellers who have negative intentions or work for a higher power which brings corruption, then the bank may lose valuable money and customer trust. It is because the teller has vast amount of access towards customer data and can alter it if he/she needs to, or rather, wants to.
- A necessary improvement that can be made in our new security system is a higher quality resolution of the CCTV camera so that it would be easier to do facial recognition.
- In situations such as computer malfunction or a blackout, service still continues, as everything will be recorded manually until the computer is operational.
- Files in the system are backed up daily and a change of computer happens every year.
- To differentiate fraud money from the rest a detector is used.
- To protect the bank from theft and robbery a CCTV and alarm is installed onto the building.
- A person’s identity is taken down using a photo, signature and a Pin code.
- The Pin is used during transactions. In case of identity theft, the account will be taken down immediately.
Testing
Testing is not applicable to this system analysis.
User Documentation
Technical Documentation
- The purpose of CCTV's and fingerprint scanners is to confirm and ensure the identity of the customers that wishes to make a transaction or deposit.
- Alarms are to alert staff members and policemen nearby as soon as possible if a robbery has taken place.
- Tellers are required to record customer profiles in the computer as well as manually including fingerprints to make sure that the data submitted to the fingerprint scanner is correct and to prevent misuse of identity in the event that both customers have the same name.
Analysis Stage
Implementation
- We collected data from BCA using the interview method and by taking notes with the computer. We also managed to get brochures, application forms and more.
- BCA organizes their files by putting the data into files and folders
- Information about the customers is collected manually and then copied to the computer
- So far, BCA has few complaints from customers, and even if they do, they can still fulfill their requirements
- If the customers are not satisfied, then that would mean there is a lack of communication
- The queue is managed by using restriction poles and separation between the lines
- The deposits/records are tracked by putting the information directly online and inputted into a backup system, though a hardcopy is also made and kept in the office
- Workers are trained twice to know all about the product, and how to serve the customers well.
- So far, there was never a miscalculation in the computer system.
Design Stage
Verification is not applicable to this system analysis because of the confidentiality of the bank. Because verification is not applicable, validation cannot be executed.
THANK YOU FOR
WATCHING &
LISTENING!!!
- There should be an increase in security to prevent credit card fraud, illegal transactions, and other crimes.
- An ideal solution would be to install finger print scanners that match the real identity of the customer.
- If necessary, they can install a retina scanner for further precaution.
- For foreigners, to prevent misunderstanding or misinterpretation there should a wide range of languages and foreign currencies
