Gamma rays, X-rays and Ultraviolet all have medical uses which are effective and useful but can all have side effects
Gamma rays are used to cure some types of cancer using a procedure called Gamma Knife Surgery in which concentrated beams of gamma radiation are fired at cancerous cells in the growths which kills them. They are also used for imaging in PET scans.
UV waves are used to treat transitory new-born jaundice. This is where the infant's head and neck are yellow.

They use UV radiation to turn the pigment of skin to a natural colour.
