Tundra Biome

Abiotic Biotic

-Cotton Grass

-Black Berries

-Dwarf Willows

Interdependence

-Arctic Fox

-Caribou

-Musk Ox

-Walrus

-Penguins

-Hares

The Tundra biome is interdependence because the animals and plants depend on one another for food and they depend on their fur for warmth. For example: The Arctic Wolf depends on the Musk Ox for food.

Tundra Biome

Rain Forest Biome

The Rain Forest Biome is located In South America, Southeast Asia, Africa, Australia, the Amazon in South America. Rain Forests are located near around the equator, because the temperate in the Rain Forests are normally warm.

The Tundra Biome is located near the north pole,(the northern part of the United States.) This biome takes up one fifth of the United States. This biome has a unique characteristic, permafrost. Permafrost is when the soil is permanently frozen.

The differences Between the 2 Biomes

In the tundra it snows most of the year, and in the rainforest it rains most of the year. In the rainforest it rains more than 100 inches a year, and in the Tundra it snows 6 inches to 10 feet a year. In the Tundra the ground is permanently frozen (which is called permafrost) so there can't be any trees, and in a rain forest there are a-lot of trees(plants). The average temperature in the tundra is 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit. In the rain forest the temperature rarely gets over 93 degrees or lower than 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

Interdependence

The Rainforest biome is interdependence because animals and plants depend on each other. Species rely on other species for pollination, and seed dispersal to predator-prey relationships to symbolic relationships.
