  • Throughout your schooling you will need

to be able to analyse & make critical judgements about

Art works / Art theories / Art historical events & concepts.

  • "The Fames" provide a scaffold as a launching point to help you

approach Art from different perspectives.

  • Using the Frames will help you to understand issues surrounding

Art in a more organised way & assist you in writing clear & comprehensive texts.

  • In what situations & professions do you think the ability to analyse

& make judgements about Art/theory/history would be useful or even essential?

The Frames are divided into 4 sections,

each addressing Art from different perspectives:

  • STUCTURAL
  • SUBJECTIVE
  • CULTURAL
  • POST MODERN

What do you think of / understand through these

key concepts?

Do the above concepts contain other concepts?

Each Frame contains many different concepts & ideas that you might address when analysing Art.

Examine each Frame

Can you think of any other factors/concepts that would fit into the Frames?

You will be able to copy this map into your VAPD's at the end of the presentation

Let's look at each more closely!

Try to Formulate questions that you could ask about the sample Artworks in response to the Frames
