Creon can look over Antigone
Meetings with Miss Millard and the group:
When having a discussion with Miss Millard I spoke to her about how I wanted the stage to have different levels and what props I would like. That’s when I came up with the idea of having the crest at the back of the stage. This doesn’t just represent Creon’s power and the plan was to project video clips on to but the idea of doing this was scrapped. In another discussion I spoke about Creon’s chair and the backdrop collapsing. This is another way that I could show the audience how Creon’s power has decreased through the performance.
When speaking to the group, I spoke about how i would use the staging to show status. After speaking to the group they thought about how Antigone and Creon would stand to show the difference in their power.
