To determine which axis is being rotate about:

  • First, get your bearings - figure out which axis is which. The rotation arrows wrap around the axis that is being "rotated about".

Learning Objective: YWBAT dimension and place objects precisely in Tinkercad.

Essential Question: How (else) can we make sure that objects are where we think they are?

Do Now: On the worksheet (3 min):

1. Label the x-axis, the y-axis, and the z-axis on the workplane.

What trick do you use to remember which axis is which?

2. The image at right is just a close-up of the hat in the image above. We see arrows pointing to each Rotation arrow. Which axis (x, y, or z) does each arrow rotate around? How can you tell?
