- There was a statue of Happy Prince which was adorned in golden .
- A little swallow wanted to go to Egypt and he met the Happy Prince when he taking a stop in the city.
- The Happy Prince begged the swallow to take his gems to help poor people and The Happy Prince lost all of his gems.
- The swallow decided to stay with the prince. The swallow kissed the prince and died.
- Town Councilors pulled down the Happy Prince statue and melted it, but the broken leaden heart did not melt in the furnace.
- God let his angels to bring two most precious things in the city and the angel brought the leaden heart and the dead bird to the God.

Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) was a playwright, novelist, poet and celebrity in late nineteenth century London.
His eccentric lifestyle often put him at odds with the social norms of Victorian England.
His works include the play The Importance of Being Earnest and the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray. He was also famous for the clever and funny things he said in conversations.
