The stem connects the roots to the leaves and the flower. It helps the plant stand up and turn towards the sun. The stem also moves water and nutrients to the leaves and flower.
Roots
The roots are usually at the bottom of a plant. Roots hold the plant in the ground. They also take in water and nutrients from the soil.
