Self-esteem is the measure of how much you like yourself.
Your self-concept determines your self-esteem. If you have a positive self-concept your self-esteem will be high but if you have a negative self-concept your self-esteem will be low.
To develop a positive self-concept you need to have confidence. You can do this by writing down a list of things you have accomplished, by setting realistic goals each day and by spending time with others who support and encourage you.
Some things that I have done to develop a positive self-concept are to keep trying when I fail, getting good grades in school, participating in sports and treating others with respect.
Self-concept is the view you have of yourself.
Your self-concept is developed by observing one's self and through interactions with others.
