Assessment & Intervention

Assessment and Intervention Time frame

- Two intervention sessions canceled due to conflicting schedules.

  • These CSL features correlate to perceptual features of voice, such as hoarseness, roughness and breathiness the client may be experiencing.

(Smits, Ceuppens, & De Bodt, 2005; Yiu, Worrall, Longland & Mitchell, 2000)

Acid Reflux and Voice

- Vocal abuse

- Inflammation

- Hoarseness or change in voice

- Irritation of laryngeal tissue

- Koufman et al. (2002) established that 3+ episodes of acid reflux can damage laryngeal tissue.

(Aronson & Bless, 2008; Kuhn et al., 1998; Koufman et al., 2002)
