The Jacobean Era refers to the period of time in English and Scottish history when James I (1603 - 1625) ruled, who unfortunately died age 58.

Girls in the Jacobean era were also given an education along their brothers. However, for many, education meant only being able to read and write. The real education that they were supposed to master was the art of maintaining the house.
