The Life Cycle of a Red Panda

Life Span

The average life span for a Red Panda is about 13 years.

Fourth stage of the Red Panda's life

Leaving home

After around a year the teens are now fully grown adults. They can now live independently and make their way through the next 11 years of their life as survivors in the wild!

Third stage of the Red Panda's life

The teens will now explore and learn how to live and survive in the environment they live in.

Growing up

After about 4 months in the mothers care the cubs start to become more independent and explore the wilderness.

First stage of the Red Panda's life

Cub

A mother can have one or four cubs at a time but usually has twins. A cub is usually born in summer or springtime Around 130 days after the mother and father mate.
