Abbeville County School District vs. The State of South Carolina
The program primarily serves students in 4K through second grade because research shows that if children acquire strong reading skills and a love of reading by the end of second grade they are more likely to succeed academically and graduate on time. Our priority is reaching students in under served public schools.

During his first campaign, President Obama visited a district along the corridor of shame. The media attention brought to the community created a huge rift within the community. Many felt they were being humiliated and shunned those responsible for bringing the attention in the first place.
